Our story

Jason Kingstrom (owner/roaster) moved to Sacred Heart in 1985, at the age of 9. Since then he has called this small community home.

Jason left the little town after high school and sought grander fortunes in the Twin Cities. He knew that one day he would return home. Over the years he watched as the various communities in the area have lost businesses and residents. Jason hoped to return one day and contribute back to the area by starting a business to serve the people of those communities.

When the opportunity presented itself in 2017, he moved back to Sacred Heart.

Prairie Dirt Coffee was started in 2021 as a realization of a dream, to one day contribute back to the community where Jason grew up.

As we get our legs under us watch for Prairie Dirt Coffee to be visible supporting the local communities, social causes, and our environment through direct action and partnerships.
